The "Why?"

After being told by his father that he could not go out (and play with his "friends") the child responded with "Why?" It was his effort (unbeknownst to him) to get his father into dialogue. In dialogue there is no father authority. The father, retaining his authority, responded with "Because I said so."

This is the universal conflict that those of dialectic 'reasoning' seek to resolve, 'liberating' the child, i.e., the child's carnal nature ("human nature") from the father's/Father's authority ("authoritarianism") through dialogue, so children (they) can do what they want, when they wants without restraint, i.e., without being "repressed," i.e., without having to humble, deny, die to, control, discipline their "self" in order to do the father's/Father's will, i.e., having to obey established commands and rules as given and accept the father's/Father's facts and truth as is, by faith. By negating the father's/Father's authority in the child's thoughts and actions, a "new" world order of "Why-ners" is created, with "the people" from then on following after psychologists, psychotherapists, facilitators of 'change,' Transformational Marxists who, as the master facilitator of 'change' did in the garden in Eden (Genesis 3:1-6), "helped" 'liberate' them from the father's/Father's authority so they can do wrong, disobey, sin without having a guilty conscience (a product of the father's/Father's authority), i.e., so they can do wrong, disobey, sin with impunity.

Georg Hegel: "The child, contrary to appearance, is the absolute, the rationality of the relationship; he is what is enduring and everlasting, the totality which produces itself once again as such." (Georg Hegel, System of Ethical Life)

Karl Marx: "Once the earthly family [with the family submitting to the father's authority] is discovered to be the secret of the heavenly [Holy] family [with the Son and those following Him submitting to His Heavenly Father's authority], the former [the earthly family] must be destroyed [Vernunft, annihilated] in theory and in practice." (Karl Marx, Feuerbach Thesis # 4)

Sigmund Freud: "'It is not really a decisive matter whether one has killed one's father or abstained from the deed,' if the function of the conflict and its consequences are the same [the father no longer exercises his authority over the family]." All this is antithetical to the gospel, i.e., the Son's obedience to the Father, calling us to do the same.
